Document Preservation
Why Preservation? When a digital asset - like a contract, research notes or financial analysis worksheet - is no
longer in active use but must be retained for business, regulatory or legal reasons, it should be committed to
Digital Preservation. This ensures that from this point forward, the asset:
1) can be opened and is fully functional despite technology changes over time,
2) can be verified as not having been altered and
